@stratkitten And you! My go-to for October/Halloween.

One of the better studio stories comes from this recording: Mick Fleetwood was playing drums, and insisted on repeated takes through the night. Waddy W was leading the session - when he said, after take 66 or so, "I think we're done," Mick replied, "We're never done, Waddy." (They used take 2).

When Trump says immigration, he means race. When he says crime, he means race. When he says communism, socialism, or Democrat, he means race. When he says America is declining, he means race. When he says “American First”, he means race. When he says blood, he means race. When he says poison, he means race.

How can you beat "Told ya 'bout the anchovies, George Duke!"?

Do love all the YCDTOSAs - FZ live is a constant source of amazement.

@InUnfunky Ok, if we're going newer versions, that one may win on guitar crunch.
But - I love T Lev's bass tone on this one....

@Animeraider Oh, agreed - many great recordings end with a fade, and some are quite well executed.

Dare not speak for JI, but in my case, I think of writing an ending part of writing the song (youthful composition training rearing it's ugly head?). There's always an exception, of course - last one on the project in progress is a natural for a fade, tho haven't committed to that just yet...

@Animeraider Notably, Jason Isbell never does fadeouts.

(Less notably, neither do I.)

@Idissent My various stepchildren and in-laws mostly came to know me during my career as a church musician. Their reaction, since my exit from that world, to the re-emergence of the vocabulary I acquired as a kid, in music school, and in bands has been no small source of amusement for my wife.

in a King Crimson t shirt and had one more red nightmare.

@Bix Not that you can trust Dimon any further than you can dropkick him....

This is bollocks.
Not a community I expect great tolerance from, but even Flower Mound should do better than terroristic threats over a cookie.
