Good lord does no one know how to write a song ending anymore?
So many songs either fade out or just stop suddenly these days, usually right at about the pont it would become too long for Tik Tok.
It makes for terrible songwriting people. And it makes a lot of material all sound the same. Don't even get me started on all of you using the same DAW. I can hear that.
Tons of otherwise good music released this past week, but I'm noticing a pattern - even among the AI artists.

@Animeraider Notably, Jason Isbell never does fadeouts.
(Less notably, neither do I.)
@Animeraider Oh, agreed - many great recordings end with a fade, and some are quite well executed.
Dare not speak for JI, but in my case, I think of writing an ending part of writing the song (youthful composition training rearing it's ugly head?). There's always an exception, of course - last one on the project in progress is a natural for a fade, tho haven't committed to that just yet...
