@Jorro One of the great failures of the American judiciary is that Paxton isn't rotting in jail.
@Lulz4l1f3 General warning - beware of tube amps (especially high powered ones) that try to do too many things...Laney is better at it than Mesa, but try to get some feedback from people who have one or have been inside one. Of course, if it does everything you want, and you love the sound, all bets are off!

@mcfate Lt. Goob NotHisRealName is a grandstanding criminal, but hey, as a former shock jock, he knows how to please his audience....
Headlines this morning: Biden's polls number continue to fall despite surging economy!
Don't listen to the polls. Don't listen to the Pundits. You want a better nation? You got to be a better citizen. Show up and you can win. New essay up on Stonekettle Station:

@ContentTBA Since the Goob and all his friends love Leviticus so much, maybe they need to go back over 19:33-34.
@DyDave you would have loved the baseball practice "field" at my tiny high school back when (said the guy who took a liner to the mouth off a tire rut...)
How do we foster thought, and importantly, dialogue?
Difficult but important article from GenZ (via Peter Greene at that other place):

@NaomiSkarzinski , yes - the phone acts as modem and router. It's very handy, though data hungry. The store where I teach had no wifi when online lessons started during lockdown, and what they have now is pretty spotty. Had to go to the unlimited plan, but it wasn't too bad.
@NaomiSkarzinski pretty good, and I do use my hotspot regularly for work. Pricing as good as or better than any (why we switched, though navigating to the best deal can be tricky) and they're nice once you get someone on the other end of a call or chat. They don't treat you as unqualified for a phone if you're not a tech wizard.
@Bliss ...and thanks!
@Bliss Sort of weaving two stories together around December 8, 1980, which is the "when I first heard...night that it happened" The "what happened to those people" can refer either to John and Yoko, or the narrator (ok, me) and his now lost love, and many of the other images can be applied to both stories, which is the idea - small tragedies and large tragedies that intertwine in life and memory. Details and which is which left to the listener.
@MookyTroubadour more to the point, this is who keeps "putting the fix in" (his own words) on elections.
And another R who never seems to go to trial as the indictments just go on and on....
So, yeah, December 8 is part of the story....
