Please use caution when bringing Twitter nonsense here: QTing stuff to dunk on it ended up being one of the most problematic, toxic elements there. It kept putting people in front of me I'd decided to ignore.
I'll beg if I have to: please, please, please stop fixating on what you want to oppose, and live into what you want to give your energy to, and what you want to celebrate.
I've found that being in a "for" community is much more productive than being in an "against" community.
@thewebrecluse This instinctive response is so sad to me. It's doing all the wrong things, and not much good.
We need to decompose this -- there *are* nutrients in it, but they're not available in that form.
@thewebrecluse Yep, totally valid. What you are talking about is emotionally exhausting!
I posted what I did -- and am in the flow of lots of people saying similar things -- in an attempt to hopefully pre-emptively fend that off.
I hope it works!
@sumpnlikefaith I understand the need to decompose ... to shift, to try and shake off, then to find a place to expel it all especially to a bunch of ears you know have probably been through much of the same ... but at the same time ... that blast of rage and anger and whatever else spreads through the space the same way as the place you left behind.
I dunno.
If there is one thing I got tired of before, it was trying to explain such things to people ... I have to just block and move on now.
