I'm going to do some more tomorrow. Time to make a Santa bauble, ready for my Christmas tree.

@stueytheround

I have CATS. I have upholstered chairs. I read an article a while back, where the writer recommended using felting needles to weave the broken threads (where cats claws have damaged upholstery)- haven't been able to find the article.

Does this make sense? I tore out the article after reading the header & read how it works!

Would felting needles be good to wrap the broken threads and stick them back into the upholstery work- or is there a better way?

@QueenOfEverything
It ought to work.
If you have felting wool of a similar colour you can use that and the needles to fill any gaps, I'm sure of that and if the colours are a good match, the repair could be almost invisible.
Otherwise, darning like fixing a sock might be a better option.

@QueenOfEverything FWIW I saw someone here post a picture by someone who collected their cat's hair and used that to make a felt tophat *for the cat* 🤣🤣🤣

@stueytheround

I'm ready to make PAW CUFFS for these cats. I've only got 1 BAD BAD CAT who loves to scratch on these chairs. All the other cats use the 3 cat trees, 6 scratching posts & the rubbery front door mat like GOOD CATS.

Finn the Shadow Gray- BAD CAT EXTRAORDINAIRE has a vet appointment next week, with a professional claw clipping included.

@QueenOfEverything I've never been owned by cats so I can't advise! Sound's so frustrating though.

@stueytheround

Oh, they're actually wonderful fur companions... except for the BAD BOI. It's frustrating because there are CAT TREES EVERYWHERE and he scratches on all of them. Anyway, thanks for the assist. I've had "felting needles" on my mind and when your post popped up... I took it as a "Sign"!
