I know A LOT of people that do practice what the Bibe says, and to them I say thank you - but the majority of people that tend to post Bible scripture, have no clue what they are talking about - they should learn to read the verse BEFORE & AFTER the particular verse they post!
just saying (no disrespect intended)

@duglop It's sadly all too true.
The Bible isn't a set of rules, it's a guidebook to a way of being. Forcing it on anyone who doesn't believe it or follow it is vile. It *only* applies to believers! In this world at least!

@stueytheround for a Book that's supposed to be "so good for all" - it sure brings the WORST out of people, especially those who try to preach what it says, thus turning bystanders away from it - I've delved very deeply into it myself, but the actions of others have forced me to step away from it, and just try to be a good person regardless of what some book written by man says :)

@duglop I totally understand. You're not alone in that. I read it every day and endeavour to apply it to myself *as I understand it*. I'm very lucky that in the UK we are (mostly) actively encouraged by our churches to do that. In fact, the preacher last Sunday said during his sermon, "Don't just believe what I say based on a few verses. Go read the whole chapter and decide for yourself."
