On the eastern front - the Ukrainians will probably withdraw from Bahkmut sometime in the next 24hrs or so. Two of the main roads (north and south) into the town from the west are under Russian direct fire and the central road from the west is under artillery fire. The Ukrainians will withdraw to the high ground west of Bahkmut.

From 2015 to February 23, 2022, the line of contact in Donbas ran right outside the City of Horlivka, basically through the village of Zaitseve. Should Russia eventually take the center of Bakhmut, they will have advanced the distance of an ambitious afternoon walk....

Vuhledar at the corner has been a disaster for the Russians. More than half of the tanks and APC's the the Russians committed were lost in minefields before they reached the Ukrainian positions. Russian casualties are going to be very high.
It took the Russians several months to build up the forces for this attack and now they're gone, wasted in empty fields with nothing to show for it.
