When someone from an organization that seeks to "evangelize, equip and empower the next generation of Christlike men" says "The only people I want to see shot are the bad guys" I can't be the only person wondering if, in his eyes, I'll be one of them.

The current generation of Christ-like men is a myth.
@LnzyHou unfortunately, the bible has too many examples that those men can cling to to justify their positions.
The bible is like a Rorschach ink blot test for those who need an external source for their ethics. It's far too easy to have it reflect what you want it to say.
@LnzyHou Better to have your ethics based upon the wellbeing of people than sin. It feels great not to have to search desperately for a bible quote like some lawyer looking to get his gay client off on a technicality. I can just ask myself whether an action contributes to the wellbeing of those affected.
