@IslandNewsService puzzled though. Oban is on the mainland.
@IslandNewsService no, Scotland isn't an island. Great Britain is an island, but that contains Scotland, England, and Wales.
Girvan is also on the mainland.
@stuartblair You are correct and that's the point. The area containing England, Scotland and Wales is an island. Yes, Oban and Girvan are both on mainland Scotland which in turn is on an island containing England, Scotland and Wales.
But thank you for the geography lesson.
@IslandNewsService what I'm trying to get at is that nobody living in Scotland would say they live on an island in the same way that nobody in continental Europe would say they're on an island. They both share the same landmass with other nations.
@stuartblair OK, so if we hired Stringers on say Skye, Isle of Mull, Iona, Isle of Arran or Jura you'd be happy?
The "land mass" that Scotland shares with England and Wales is still an island. Whether anyone living there says it or not.
@IslandNewsService OK bud, you do you.
@stuartblair P.S. Sky News is not located in the sky either. Do you have a similar issue with them?
@stuartblair It is, but Scotland, the UK is an island, yes? We also have associates in Girvan but they haven't committed yet.
