Why are so many bands on Bandcamp capitalizing their names? HEADS FOR THE DEAD, ISOSPIN, TOMB MOLD, SEVEROTH, etc. I don't get it. Tomb Mold (fantastic band, btw, one my favorites) is just as impactful as TOMB MOLD. Actually, the capitalization makes me want to lowercase the entire thing.

A little too technical for my taste, but still a great song.

Two big releases for me today. Marilyn Manson's We Are Chaos and Ihsahn's Pharos. Both are very different releases from artists who continue to stretch and grow. It's taking me a bit to adjust to them, but they're both very good.

Of course an album entitled King has a song called Syphilis.

Wow, Lamb of God's newest album is lit. They killed this thing.

These days, I find myself moving from death metal to black metal. Other than atmospheric black metal (ABM), I've never been a fan. The low production value has always turned me off. But I think the rising quality of ABM has slowly pulled black metal upward. There is a lot of great, higher production black metal to be had today. Of course, it's been around in pockets for ages (ex: Rotting Christ circa early '90s). So my migration has been made somewhat easier.

While I was searching for one of my white wales (Батюшка ‎– Литоургиiа - found it!), I stumbled across this gem. I fell in love. It's worth a listen.

My god, Foobar2000 is an amazing piece of programming. Your capabilities are endless.

I'm listening to a hardcore band called Stinky. They're from France.

Regardless of all the political and pandemic bullshit, this is a good time to be alive.

I need like a 50' cord for my headphones. Pausing the music to walk to the bar is bullshit.

I'd buy so many more bands on vinyl if the shipping cost was more reasonable. I know, currently, it is what it is, but it seems that Bandcamp could bring some muscle to bear in this area. They're already offering bands the ability to price in multiple currencies ($, €, CAD, etc.). Hopefully this is on their radar.
