I fully condemn Sen Tuberville's childish blocking of military promotion confirmations. However,

There is always a senior officer who will make decisions as necessary. So if they do not hold the official title of "Commandant", or "Commander", isn't that an administrative issue and not an operational one?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

@WendyForbes
I still think fondly of my years in New Mexico. It's beautiful country. 🙂

The confluence of greedy, rich, disrespectful golfers with The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Trump is sooooo depressing to those of us that love golf, America, Justice, and Tradition.

@sloudermilk you have every right to dismiss Iowa. It’s not relevant whatsoever. I’m a blue dot in rural Iowa amongst self-centered, uneducated hicks. As long as the near 80% of the rest of the country continues to live in this century & keep working towards the good of all Americans they’ll eventually follow along & shut the hell up. They’re mere sheep that need to be herded. We need journalists to stop giving that minority too much facetime. They only deserve to be a footnote, not a headline

@cmajuscula
Yes! I was very heartened when Biden proposed to move SC up to first on the primary calendar.

If, as it appears, Iowa and NH won't relent, I say all the Dem candidates for national office should just bypass them entirely.

They will be first in the nation but completely irrelevant.

Everything about this screams out how dysfunctional US politics are.

And frankly, I'm so completely sick of Iowa, desperately trying to retain some political relevance.

Oh my. I would guess circa 1975. That's some serious junk.

@TheNewsOwl
This is sad to see. I was raised in the Methodist Church and regret many of its congregations have turned a blind-eye to the inclusive teachings of Jesus.

But then again, there is a reason I'm no longer a member of the faith.

Thanks. We must all nurture that idealistic passion. It's what keeps us going in these dark times; perhaps to light a candle in the night and attract others to the cause.

I love CoSo and worry that if it gets too big and too many people that aren't appreciative of the qualities here of empathy, kindness, understanding and comraderie that it will change :( I always believed that "most" people are reasonable and decent at their core but the last few years have me jaded and cynical ,CounterSocial has been bringing that idealistic part of me back to life and I hope that continues ,I was just going to say Goodnight CoSo and realized this,Gnite CoSos 🌺 ❤️

@Priestess
What possible evidence is there that threads will be any different on policy and moderation and privacy than fb and Instagram?

@ecksmc
My apologies for not reading far enough into the detail.

@ecksmc
Simply not true friend. I find the people here to be fact-based and logical on the whole. There are arguments but, . . .

If you are still reading twitter posts, or scrolling through facebook you will likely find the hypocrisy and hate you're. referring to. (And why are you still doing that btw?)

If you find no logic or reason in the communities you rub elbows with, perhaps . . .

Finally I'm hearing some in the MSM saying out loud (on MSNBC) that the POTUS and Dems in congress MUST move aggressively to expand the Supreme Court.

RIght now is the moment in time when America will understand why that is needed and support the effort.

The alternative to wait for enough current Justices to die/retire is ridiculous.

Let's go Biden, Schumer, Jeffries and Harrison. We need bold action to save the Democracy.

Andrew Weissmann, former chief of the Criminal Fraud Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, is breathing fire and truth right now on MSNBC!

Says rich white men get disproportionate justice in America. And Donald Trump was, and continues to be, treated with kid-gloves by the DOJ.

It's embarrassing America.

@MeTheUnfiltered
I keep thinking about the 170k+ people of extreme NW Georgia that inflicted this vile women on the rest of America.

Fine upstanding citizens, surely. 🙄
