This is sad to see. I was raised in the Methodist Church and regret many of its congregations have turned a blind-eye to the inclusive teachings of Jesus.
But then again, there is a reason I'm no longer a member of the faith.

@sloudermilk @TheNewsOwl I started in the Methodist church as well.
We all expected it to schism while I was in college twenty years ago, but that property clause kept things together.
Having come up in the Northwest Texas Conference, I was not surprised to see most joining the conservative faction with all that entails.
I am glad we both found where we belong.
