Reminiscent of the first source of Unitarian Universalism:
"Direct experience of that transcending mystery and wonder, affirmed in all cultures, which moves us to a renewal of the spirit and an openness to the forces which create and uphold life."
And the seventh principle:
"Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part."
I was hitchhiking on the Peak to Peak highway in the Colorado Rockies, at night, dark of the moon, I was laying in the back of a pickup truck watching shooting stars and more stars than I ever saw. I was in awe at the magnificent beauty of the Milky Way. I saw that I was a tiny part of the vastness of this reality. A religious experience that changed my life. #religion🌟

🤣 The latter, I think.

Well maybe absolutely everyone isn't batshit crazy in Florida after all.
Time to cancel Sling. I only subscribed to watch CNN and MSNBC. But now CNN is headed in the wrong direction and MSNBC is Joe’s comedy show, with Mika playing Vanna White to his Pat Sajak, while Willie is tasked with maintaining the image of a news program.
The major newspapers, the NYT and WaPo, and the major networks, are aiding the far-right in breeding distrust among people and undermining the credibility of the news we hear.
I like "Uncle Joe" as much as everyone else. I just do not want the DNC leadership to decide for us. That is anti-democratic!
I want the party to shine a spotlight on other stars for the future. Putting all bets on Biden for our future is not a good idea.
If the DNC really wants to drive away unaffiliated voters, running Biden without spotlighting other candidates in a debate is the way to do it.
(not that I would ever vote for a Republican).
I am aware.
I have deleted the CNN app from my phone, and will watch them no longer. A strange thing, after they have been part of my day since Kuwait.

Senator Dianne Feinstein has said she will retire at the end of 2024, but too much damage is being done in the interim due to her absence from the Senate. I say this with great sadness, as one of her personal friends as well as one of her constituents.
It is clear she can no longer perform her duties. It is time for her to step down.

👏 I hope the country music industry will take this effort seriously.
And we should all do the same.
