What #bookmarking #selfhosted solutions are people using? My bookmark bars are stupid and out of control and basically worthless, but I have lots of things I might want to see again.
I really struggle with organization of my thoughts, digital or otherwise

On the other hand you have #bookmarking command-line interface (CLI) solutions like [Buku](https://github.com/jarun/buku) which are extremely flexible, but require tinkering to get integrations or syncing between computers (like [Syncthing](https://syncthing.net/).

For the folks who prefer self hosted #bookmarking web tools, there are [several available](https://www.reddit.com/r/selfhosted/comments/aelm5t/bookmark_manager/) including bookmarking modules from Nextcloud or more dedicated solutions like [Shaarli](https://github.com/shaarli/Shaarli).

Or people use more general personal wiki tools like [Obsidian](https://obsidian.md/) or [Zim Wiki](https://zim-wiki.org/) and just intermix #bookmarking and comments. These are just a few approaches among many, I'm sure there are other good ones. Good luck on your search for useful tools!

Hoo boy, you know how many ways trees solve the problem of reaching for light? There are about that many kinds of #bookmarking solutions. Services like [Pocket](https://getpocket.com/en/) or [Pintrest](https://www.pinterest.com) act as kind of visual bookmark boards supported by browser plugins and phone apps.
