@ReneeVoiceBrand that’s my speculation, but is this known/verified?

The thing about the “takeover” of Twitter that has me most concerned is that it has been how many recent social uprisings got their momentum to push back with public support. Think Occupy Wallstreet, Arab Spring, Mahsa Amimi protests in Iran, Hong Kong protests before pandemic, etc.

Someone taking over twitter and basically kneecapping it so that it’s no long a threat to those in power, is something they’d very much champion.

Do we know who was involved in helping Elon secure the funding?

@phase oh, this is cool. I like how each article is qualified by a percentage of its leaning. Clever! Do you find the percentages fairly accurate?

@LazMorgenstern I’ve been avoiding the news sites that tend to sensationalize with in-your-face visual delivery. APNEWs is one. I also check NPRnews, MSNBC (though they sensationalize a bit too), Reuters & BBCnews

I can’t tell if I actually miss the “news” posts on the bird site… Or, if I’m just addicted to the news hype dopamine rush. One thing is for certain though, this place feels more like a comfortable refuge from the hellscape

@HonDuMuc traveled in Vietnam a few years ago. Loved it! RT Airfare from the U.S. used to be reasonable too. I’d love to go back eventually. Did Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta, Nah Trang, Hoi An, Hanoi, and the Halong Bay tour. Next time I’d like to do one of the motorbike tours :)

I’ve got the whole world in my hand.

I’ve got the little tiny baby in my hand.

I’ve got the whole world in my hand.

You can feel the pressure building. It's going to peak soon and will either race down one side or the other. It could go either way. Yet, going either way could potentially be catastrophic.

Perhaps there's yet a third way that no one has yet considered.

I hope the flow favors the majority instead of the lunatic fringe.

Anyone with eyes could plainly see everything right out in the open. All the signs were there. There were insidious signs of impending chaos with a distinct possibility of wide-spread grief.
Yet, it didn't seem like anyone could see them at all.
The signs were like apparitions that only a very few could actually see. These few were becoming increasingly paralyzed with absolute fear.

@BillyBones I’ve seen them live at least a dozen times. Always among my top 5 live shows! And this track is my fav, but tied with fascination street… that intro bass line is my all time fav - just wish they’d release the new album already - could really use that right now

@anniemmm It appears there's an iOS and an iPadOS version in the appstore... but it doesn't work on iPad. It's probably just broken. Weird that you can't just install the iPhone version on the iPad like you can with most apps

@Blue_Abayarde yep. People let up too quickly and not enough vaxxed. I believe the same thing happened at the tail end of the flu pandemic in 1918

@Blue_Abayarde smart! Just in time too. I have a hunch there’s gonna be a huge spike in about 2-3weeks from now. By then you’ll be protected

@anniemmm is it known that it doesn’t work on iPad?
