Japanese offices are even worse, not only is almost everything "open", everyone's sitting pretty much shoulder-to-shoulder.

@sjvn Open offices were implemented for cost savings. Everything else is just marketing.

@sjvn I could not agree more. My place moved from time height barriers between cubes to wide open "prairie" - just miles of flat tables with places to plug in. Just killed productivity. Loud, distracting, unbearable.
