@NorthWestBird I will vote the Democratic ticket as I always do, but I am also intelligent enough and well read enough to know how this is going to go.
@LnzyHou I absolutely agree that your opinion is valid.
@LlamaMountainStudioArts The AI that you are training with your captcha answers disagrees with your answers. (Joking).
Everyone seems concerned with Biden glitching the first half of the debate. They want the near impossible in replacing him 3 months before the election because polling says...
Right now Biden is campaigning against trump, the GOP AND the Democrat elites and is holding his own.
Imagine what the polls would look like if democrats supported the president instead of trying to replace him.
@NorthWestBird Just as an aside, the executive branch a co-equal 1/3 of government. If you need to see that in action, just take a look at Biden's student loan forgiveness. He might want it, but the judicial branch, which is also a co-equal 1/3 of the government is preventing his wishes. We don't have a unitary executive, no matter how much the Republicans want one.
@NorthWestBird I am not here to tell you who to vote for. I do know that voting for an non-electable third party is not a winning formula. I also live in a reliably blue state. I will vote for Biden, just to prevent 2016 from happening again.
@CanisVeritum Trump certainly is willing to expand the Supreme Court. I agree with your frustration with our government.
@Kinnison I can be somewhat oblivious to written sarcasm. Fair comment.
@CanisVeritum Sure, he is planning on a coup no matter what. Should we all just give up then?
We should elect Biden with enough of a majority as to override a coup attempt.
Unfortunately, we have no say in how oligarchs are going to attempt to steal this election.
We can expose them, and hope that enough people realize what is happening. Outside of that, we have only the choices outlined in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution.
@Kinnison I believe we call that "vice-president".
@sirgeefive Here's an interesting thought: the ultrawealthy *could* be a suitable feedstock for the Fischer-Tropsch process, after steam reforming to convert to syngas...
I mean, the ultrawealthy do love their petrochemicals so much... and you know what they say, "Waste not want not"! 😁

@IrelandTorin I wish that I could like this post more than once.
@NorthWestBird How will Trump be different in supporting Israel? How will Trump be different with the US production of oil?
I don't like the choices either. I have many things that I disagree with Biden on. I also know that he doesn't make all of the decisions. He is part of the government, not the entire government. So, I get that it is easy to blame him for policy, but policy is determined by more than the president.
Even more than I disagree with Biden, I completely disagree with Trump.
@LnzyHou I would hate to see me in a debate. I imagine that I would stumble over words and have long pauses as well. I would especially hate having my entire life decided by one debate performance. Heck, you ever watch Trump talk? Why not mention the difference between the two rather than just focus on one debate performance and one candidate.
Jeez the old guy stumbled and could barely keep up with the other old guy's lies.
Bad faith.
@wyrmeboi Well, Stephen, I appreciate you having a civil discussion with me. I believe that we are going to go back and forth and neither of us is going to convince the other. I will support the Democratic ticket no matter what, but I strongly support Biden, and I can see through this "dump Biden" scheme very easily. I hope that you have a great day.
@wyrmeboi That doesn't get people past the state filing deadlines.
How do you stop all of the people that you just disenfranchised by discarding their primary votes from leaving the election entirely? Your concern is low turnout, so by disenfranchising the people who voted in the primaries, you are telling them that their votes don't matter.
I disagree that Biden is a loser. I think the losers here are the people falling for a Thiel campaign.
@wyrmeboi Again, how about getting on ballots? Ohio is contesting Biden being on the ballot due to him not making a filing deadline.
Why not just support Biden? He already has a backup ready if he is unable to perform the job. That backup is your preferred candidate due to her age. If you spent half as much effort supporting the ticket as you do being a detractor, do you think you could help sway some voters who have been influenced by this deliberate Thiel campaign?
@wyrmeboi Ok, so I am going to look past the obvious ageist stuff here and humor you for a moment. Harris is currently the vice president. She will automatically become president if something happens to Biden. Suggestions of candidates who have not filed to run are nice in a pipe dream, but we are around 100 days out to the election. Biden proclaims a 230 million dollar plus war chest. Do you think these other unannounced candidates can get the fundraising? How about getting on ballots?
Liberal, loud, opinionated, pro-vax, pro-mask, pro-women's rights, anti-fascist, anti-racist.
