Nobody will ever give your rights back. You have to take them. It is going to be an uphill battle, but it is worth it.
I reflect on when I was a child. People had a lot more rights than they have now.
That should bother a lot of people.
@sirgeefive @Tacitus_Kilgore
9/11 was the inflection point that the GQP was hoping for for decades..
They tried to create it with Korea and Vietnam...
But this was their opening...
And we allowed them to take their shot...
@InvaderGzim @sirgeefive I honestly believe that's why Bush didn't endorse Harris.
@InvaderGzim @sirgeefive @Tacitus_Kilgore The "war on terror" was the greatest fraud ever inflicted upon the world.
@InvaderGzim @sirgeefive @Tacitus_Kilgore To clarify:
I'm not saying there was not global terrorism, and I'm not saying it did not require a strong and decisive response.
But our leaders lied. And they kept on lying.
@JolieSaboteuse @InvaderGzim @sirgeefive WMD's for instance?
@Tacitus_Kilgore @InvaderGzim @sirgeefive Yes. Like, Iraq's "capability" to "nuke the UK in 45 minutes".
Even the US couldn't nuke the UK in 45 minutes.
@InvaderGzim @sirgeefive @Tacitus_Kilgore Boomers tricked Gen X into sending Millenials to fight their war.
@InvaderGzim @sirgeefive @Tacitus_Kilgore Another proxy war, but this time not against a political ideology, but against a religion. The war on terror was a 21st century crusade.
@InvaderGzim @sirgeefive @Tacitus_Kilgore Yes, we fought truly evil people. No doubt there at all. But we could have done that without the loss of untold innocent lives and without engaging in two grossly mismanaged foreign occupations.
@sirgeefive And the kicker is, rights are never taken. We give them away freely by the choices we make.
