@singlemaltgirl LinkedIn trips me out.
Kind of an almost nihilist approach framed in corporate idealism, except Honesty gets you fired.
@singlemaltgirl In a professional / work context:
Positivity is often necessary, and doesn't mean dumb action. It is often needed to motivate oneself to take any action. It is nearly always needed to motivate the "team" to take action.
Negativity doesn't lead to no action. I often get super frustrated on my way to finding a solution. That frustration is necessary.
Honesty is an Achilles heel. It is often taken wrong, and causes injury.
So, nah, not being judgy IMO.
@sirgeefive that's what i was thinking, right? honesty doesn't result in effective action in my experience. it results in defensiveness, barriers, & outright lack of ability to progress.
there are so many things i want to comment on but can't do it there.
but then i think, am i out of touch? do i not see things clearly? is my experience clouding my judgement too much?
thanks for your insight.
