i'm no kind of expert on this which is why i'm asking peeps way more knowledgeable on this stuff than me.

but why can't anyone build a mirror of twitter & be the alt? like peeps like that platform & are familiar w/ how it works. so why not create a proper twitter that is appropriately moderated & so on? give peeps that option?
or is this all copyright or something?
@singlemaltgirl People still wouldn't leave Twitter. You could make the world's best mimic of Twitter, make it super user friendly, moderated and full of everything good and it still wouldn't attract users from Twitter. Twitter is an addiction. People simply cannot leave it. They make claims that they deleted their accounts, etc, but you still see them with screenshots and constant Twitter interaction.
