@FrankCannon As you know, I'm a Proddy dog, but even I think that looks more like a Monty Python convention 🙀 @process

@see_the_sus It's a somewhat derogatory name given to Protestants (or more specifically Church of England for most of us) in Liverpool by local Catholics. Sometimes it's an insult, others it's just banter.

I'm not religious in the slightest, but at least when I was little *everyone* got Christened, and you were generally either Catholic or Protestant. 👍 @FrankCannon @process

@BillyBones Mainly banter these days though some from the Gwladys St end still take that shit very seriously.Bunch of balloonknots. @see_the_sus @process

@FrankCannon Coincidentally the only people who've ever used it vindictively to me have been Bluenoses 🤔

(I know that sounds ironic, but I don't use that word for them as a put-down)

@see_the_sus @process

@BillyBones daft question, is blue noses linked to the Toffees?
The Navy had a different definition of blue nose and I'm not one of them

@FrankCannon @see_the_sus @process

@Mauve_matelot Blue Noses are Toffees,yes.The call them the Toffees because they're always getting licked.😂
@BillyBones @see_the_sus @process

@FrankCannon 🤣

And @Mauve_matelot, that wasn't a daft question at all 👍 So come on, what does the Navy version mean?

@see_the_sus @process

@BillyBones I think it's for crossing the Arctic Circle.....never hung around with many sailors,get a bad rep and start rumours with that.😂
@Mauve_matelot @see_the_sus @process

@FrankCannon is correct, it's the Arctic Circle certificate.
I've only done the equator

@BillyBones @see_the_sus @process
