It really really sucks to be tech illiterate. I removed the SD card and copied all its contents to my laptop, but freaking phone insisted on formatting it in order to accept and install it. So here is to hoping I have everything I needed, just on a different device.

Thank you. I had to cave and format the card but now everything works on the phone again. My laptop now has all my photos and I have oodles of room on the card. I don't believe I lost anything except the half hour it took to copy the card to the laptop.

@publickovacs

Can the phone not be connected to the computer via its charger cord and upload the photos that way, instead of having to remove the card? I know Androids are different than iPhones but that process seems complicated.

@see_the_sus
Removing the card and not using the cord speeds up the process considerably. What took a half hour this way would easily have taken six hours with a cord

Holy shit! 😵😵😵 Is that normal for Android phones?

@publickovacs

😂
I keep telling myself I should learn more about Android phones, just to understand them.

@see_the_sus
I am a lifelong Android user and have no clue. It is likely that I am the problem.

Nah, we all have our strengths and weaknesses. ♥️
