Having to close one of my laptops for good soon. It's a Sony Vaio. I laser engraved it's case and everything. This one went with me to Scotland and I spent way too much time working on a major science software package while travelling there. It's half as old as my dell laptop that's in twice as better shape than it is. I dropped this laptop in the Dallas airport circa 2019. It has been downhill since then. Poor Vaio. I'm going to miss you buddy. *pats laptop lid* 💻 😢
@JanetZumba_FalPals I worked on it in Inverness, and out in the middle of nowhere on a farm.
@InUnfunky Yes, tonight I backed it up for the last time. Well, I checked to see if I had already done that and it was six months ago. But it's just never recovered from that drop in dallas. Slowly started to fall apart to the point where opening it became a possibility of breaking it permanently. It still operates pretty good just falling apart. I've already had two laptops since I bought it. Kept it for so long because it had some legacy software on it I can' t run on newer laptops.
I’m sorry, dude. I had one from around ‘03ish and then another maybe ‘09 until they stopped making ‘em…apparently ‘14? Wasn’t happy about that. 🤬 Believe it’s been HPs since then…🤔🤬🙄
@InUnfunky I think I bought this one in 2011 or 2012 now that I think about it.
@InUnfunky I've been really happy with my Lenovo I bought recently.
@scottyorange you gave it an exciting life...it got to travel.😉
