Nobody has claimed to have repaired the ear - all statements from Trump's team (the only people privy to the information, coincidentally) have indicated that it healed on its own.
The problem I have is that they also claim he was struck by a bullet from a high-powered rifle, which would've realistically blown the ear into pieces - definitely not something that will heal back to normal on its own.
If he was injured, it was minor, and probably not by a bullet.
