I have a theory that the weird punctuation showing up everywhere is due to AI's being trained on open access journal articles. Where ppl constantly over used punctuation to sound "smart" ...just my opinion. #ehEye #punctuation
Do they even teach how to use a semicolon in grade school?
@scottyorange What I wish they'd teach is how to avoid using them.
@scottyorange If I am ever tempted at all to use a semicolon, I either re-write my sentence, or I just write a nice, satistfying-to-write run-on sentence. Nobody's grading my paper.
