What do you call the place where you connect the hose on the outside of your house? I just learned a new one and want to see if this is a regional thing, or I've just been obtuse for years

@Kurtroedeger the plumber who replaced ours called it a hose bib, so that's what i call it now too.

Had both of mine replaced a couple three years back... Frost free and he even installed a 90 degree shutoff valve inside... Not like winters get that cold anymore but just another bit of protection...

@InvaderGzim @rpardee I'm installing a new one today. I just learned wall hydrant as that is what the box and shelf labels had. I tend to call it a spigot or hose bib normally.

@Kurtroedeger @rpardee
The plumber used pex. Unless you're an expert with a torch and solder... 😊

@InvaderGzim @rpardee
Now to wait 2 hours for the ovs to cure.
Not my cleanest work, especially when I drop the bottle of primer 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
The dog kennel goes in front of this, so no big deal. I don't need a pristine off-white water heater.
