@rpardee This is how authoritarian regimes get started. They first attack all sources of truthful information that might alert the people. They demand complete control of all we see & hear. They attack the academics & scientists. They steadily, quietly, erode rights & civil liberties. In a democracy, they weight elections in their favor. The changes are usually slow as they play a long game as the people remain complacent. By the time the people know what's happening, it's too late to stop it.
