thinking of subbing in an "inshallah" where I would have written "godwilling" in a mass e-mail, just for flavor. Is that insensitive or otherwise a bad idea? (I am a non-believer)
@rpardee Darn it, I said "tweet" again
@edward789121 I am judging you soooo hard rn
;-)
@rpardee It'll certainly raise a few eyebrows! 🤣
@rpardee
If Joe Biden can do it in a debate with Donald Trump, why not? As long as you are consistently respectful to Muslims, I think most would appreciate their contribution to our culture being noticed.
@rpardee I have been using that since forever, but I grew up in a mixed neighborhood. I am an atheist so I am also an equal opportunity offender.
@rpardee not that different, "inshallah" is at the point where it's almost like slang (despite it not being made to be so) and might even be more casual depending on the environment, although "God willing" is slightly more inclusive of more than one religions in a technical sense.
Don't overthink it anymore than I did in this tweet lol.
