We wouldn't want to do the things to them, in most cases, that they'd do to us, or else we would _become_ them.

@rootwoman123 Your assessment is correct. They want to make rules for others, not themselves.

And in the process, they will lie freely and often, to themselves and others, about what they are really doing.

Note how often the people "protecting our children from predators" get caught with their hands in children's cookie jars.
