@catlynne333 Nixon negotiated with North Vietnam to keep the war going in until after the election was completed. Reagan negotiated with Iran to keep the hostages. Neither of them were prosecuted even though their violations of the law directly contradicted US interests.

@catlynne333 no. It's apparently okay for Republican presidential candidates to break the law and never be punished for it. That's what the observation means. I don't vote Republican anymore for very good reasons. Those are a few of them.
