Good morning CoSo!
I have a sweet brag: my friend and bellydance circle co-founder is traveling for work this weekend. I have been coming in to take care of her dog, Nala. Nala is dog selective, people selective, nervous, reactive, and while sweet, a complicated dog. Once she nipped me when I came, although she didn't draw blood. New rule this weekend: I can now pet her even when I am alone w her! We made a lot of progress and I am proud of both of us. My friend is happy, too!

Hard to smile when one of your eyes doesn't really open, but here is today's attempt at cleaning up, with another bold lip color. We are going out to eat with a bunch of friends and then watching a dance show, so I am going to the world of beauty. Wearing jewelry in the shape of spoons, though, because once a #Spoonie , always a Spoonie.

You know what, here we are, celebrating 14 years together with @junation at dinner, and right now life is good. #ThereIsGoodInTheWorld

I am doing well overall but this was a mixed bag. Turns out I am having an allergic reaction to the antibiotic drops and that is why my eye is swollen. My eye pressure is coming up to normal levels. My limitations are eased up a bit: I can now occasionally bend and I am weight limited to lifting no more than 25-30 pounds. I can now put my face in the shower. Still no sleep on my left side and still no PT. Dance on schedule established post-op. I swear I didn't pray for patience...

My appointment went well today. My meds are getting adjusted again.

OMG the TRUST

I am aware that a domesticated dog of about 50 pounds of body weight could kill a human in less than a minute. But they won't. Instead, they like us. It is a marvel.

Woke up this morning to a notification that the wireless network in the house went down between 3 and 4 am. @junation found that someone had turned off the power strip to the router. This squinty smug face is accompanied by enough purrs to raise suspicion.
