I am off to school in a few on this all-important day and #Gandalf is sending this energy with me and to all of us. He will be 16 next month and he was already seven when we rescued him. He is a constant unconditional source of love. He has enough for all of us.

I am dealing w the second eye bleed since a student shot me in the eye w a rubber band. I think it is just sub-conjunctival bruising but I will be seeing one of my specialists because my background is poli sci, not ophthalmology. Also, strong feelings of WTF rn. Because this is my good eye, the one that actually works. That is the one that got hit. #TeacherRant

Just found out that a friend's stepdad was attacked at a mall in Iowa because he has a Harris bumper sticker on his car. He is physically going to be okay and has been discharged from the hospital. But election violence has already touched someone I know.

I shall now engage in hope: perhaps polls are neck and neck within the margin of error because there are a non-negligible number of women who either lie to pollsters or say nothing at all, but on Tuesday will vote to be considered something other than livestock.

Today is the one-year anniversary of the radical hysterectomy I had as the first step in my cancer treatment. I am having a rough time.

I have blocked someone. I may still need a break, but not before I say how deeply grateful I am to and for all of you who reached out, offered support, restored a bit of faith, and wove magic. Thank you.

Laters, CoSo. A break is necessary. I shared trauma of xenophobic harassment due to my accent and someone responded by saying I horrified them by not wanting to lose my accent but instead persisting in being unintelligible. There are exactly two Nauts who have heard me speak. This person is not either one of them.

Depression: 1.
Me: 0.
I am safe in that self-harm is off the table. But that is the entirety of my achievement right now.
