Just got a survey call from some polling firm. We got as far as confirming my first name, the county in Missouri where I live, that I am registered to vote, and that out of R, D, or something else, I would identify as a Democrat and all of a sudden we were done. Their representative sample needed no Missouri Democrat, apparently. Because it was soooooo representative, I am sure 😜🤣

Tonight a couple of friends came over and one of them took this photo of half of our clowder being on the couch. From front to back we have #Ildi #Milo #Smoothie #Balazs and #Ruby . Yes this does mean that there are five other cats who are not depicted.

Ermergerd I gave #Neville a face trim, and even though it looks choppy and messy, I want to brag on him being a perfect little sweetheart and never once protesting against my efforts. (Because of his trauma and how he was found, I don't get him professionally groomed because I don't want to drop him off anywhere. So he is stuck with me and always has an 'attacked by a lawnmower' haircut.)

Very discouraged tonight. Checkup w glaucoma specialist today showed I am getting worse not better. Have to restart one of the glaucoma drops because pressure is up. Have to keep steroid drops at 6 x per day because there is too much scarring already. There is swelling so retina specialist is getting alerted. Easing restrictions didn't even come up. Instead of five to ten years until revision surgery, I likely only have a few months.

Yesterday I got a FB friend request from someone I don't know personally, but with a lot of mutuals and shared queer advocacy. I gladly accepted. Today is #Juneteenth and I saw that they had a post saying that for the second year running, they took items to the dump on Juneteenth and this was the start of a new tradition. Their friends put laugh emojis on the post. I put a weep emoji and "not funny". They immediately unfriended me. This is what is wrong w our town: #racism among progressives.

This week, our #bellydance circle is two years old. Not in the current location, not with the current lineup, but it was two years ago that my amazing friend and I had a series of lunches and conceptualized what we are actively doing now. A lot happened in those two years, and a lot of it was awful. But here is our group today.

Our house has been showing things and saying things. Today we wanted to add #Juneteenth banners. The big flag doesn't work with the bracket on the side of the house, but #Neville lay on it anyway during assembly. The garden banner is perfect.
