St Joe Pride Festival is this weekend and our bellydance circle is marching in the parade. Here is the outfit and the face. Once in the parade, gold Isis wings will be added.

Once school starts, I will likely hardly have time to breathe, much less cook. But today, there was no school yet, so here are gf sweet potato pancake patties. I wanted something non-messy I could eat in the car after dance class, not junk, not boring.

When I was a child, in the storybooks witches were always depicted as women with cats on their shoulders. I remember thinking that it must be super cool to have a cat perched on your shoulder. Well #Elsa is on the back of my neck and it is adorable, super cool, and highly uncomfortable.

Lunch is a Swiss cheese omelette and steamed butternut squash with Feta. Have I mentioned I like #cheese ?

My laptop misbehaved and I had to wrestle it. #Neville came to offer support by placing his chin on my knee as I was sitting on the floor.

For several years now, our town has had the Pride Festival in early September to hopefully get better weather than in June. Today was a fundraising luncheon to keep the festival free to the public. This is us attending.

I really need to learn to take better care of our dogs. This one is broken *again* 😜🤣

T-shirt activism: there is a Forbidden Book Club in our town, where we read together all of the books that the Christianists are challenging in the public school library. There are various T-shirts you could buy that support the club and that all have the club logo on the collar on the back. We meet tonight so I am dressed appropriately already, although I am just going to run errands rn.
