@Jezibaba Getting there, thanks for asking. No PT for last 2 months (denied by Medicaid) & latest from the surgeon is she'll never throw a ball overarm again (not that she ever did) or even unhook her bra from behind, so it's about learning to adapt now. Most pain is scar & muscular & more intermittent, thankfully. Plus she's just finally started sleeping in bed again & spending 15-20 minutes on her new shoulder before it gets too much

@Jezibaba Op was January 18th. Medicaid would only allow 12 PT sessions and one extension of another 4. Therapist says she needs several more months because of severe muscle damage & spasms, but Medicaid have a strict, non-negotiable limit, even with her surgeon requesting extra sessions. 😡 Hopefully your PT goes better than her experience 🤞

Today was day 1 for me. I have a long row to hoe. I'm also not dealing with the amount of trauma she did. She's walking through fire. I can't imagine the level of an animosity the med community must have for shit like this. We are pawns in this stupidity.

Thank you - I am pouncing on it w greedy gratefulness because even though all I acquired is a tiny piece of plastic in the shape of a stent, it is in my left eyeball and there problems with recovery

The stent is for glaucoma. Between the one-week and two-week checkups I deteriorated enough to I dictate that instead of the stent working for five to ten years, I will get use out of it for a few months. Too much scarring. There is also too much swelling -retina guy involved now- and too much inflammation. It is so me...

Glaucoma doc said this happens sometimes - tail end of the Bell curve of surgical outcomes, but it does happen. He is continuing to monitor how I am recovering and will do the revision surgery when it is time. I would love a champion...
@publickovacs what kinds of problems?? That is not an area you want complications. Why a stent in your eye??
