Eyeball Saga, cont'd: Talked to the insurance company. They said the medical records that the glaucoma specialist sent in with the auth request for the May 23 surgery, contradicted med records they had, and that is why they denied the surgery. They want my doc to call their doc to clarify the contradiction. My doc being the specialist who said on May 7 that changes for the worse were occurring and I needed surgery ASAP.
At least now you know WHY they're giving you grief and a path forward. You're getting closer. Just keep pushing.
