It is incredibly painful to celebrate (or do anything, really) when grieving a cat, but here are and .

It's heartbreaking when we lose a cat ... but the love lives on. For a long time, I'd never post any photos of my cats that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge... but I do now. And I remember them and the unique joy they brought me.

Grieving is a natural process... but don't lose the celebration of cats and what they bring to our lives. The memories remain for us to feel the happiness, not the sadness. 💙

Thank you so much. These two are alive and well - it is whom we lost. He led the clowder and everyone and everything is in disarray since he died on March 23. But we do still have a clowder of eight.

I've always had at least 6 cats in my clowder, but in the last 5 years I've lost three- from old age 17-19 yrs old. But Spike was my Norwegian Forest Cat & was brilliant, funny & very creative. He was my heart. Losing him was the great loss for me... so I know how you feel.

So very beautiful - and yes, some of them take not just a part of our heart but also a part of our soul when they go. For me the soul-taker was a dog we lost in 2016. But to love is to sign up to be wrecked by grief, again and again.
