Well, once Saturday rolls around, any and all photos of our entire #bellydance circle could be anywhere - plus there are one or two pro photographers who usually follow the fire spinners we will be opening for. As a practice round and as practice for getting used to the idea, here are some full figure pix after our rehearsal: sweaty, tired, happy me.

Are you going into cardiac arrest or are you saying I will if I dance? 😜
@C_H_Antony
Oops, my bad, wrong acronym. No, not part of SCA. A friend and I created our circle with a mission of inclusion and affirmation for all body types and ability levels. Performing in our local community is a way for us to be the women we wish we had had around when we were much younger.
@publickovacs that’s very much how belly dancing works in the SCA. Semi-traditionally, the Saturday night of an event is considered “Revelry Night” and includes drum circles, belly dancing and other traditional dances around the fire, booze-crawls from camp to camp, lots of fun. But the attitude around belly dancing is much what you described. There are assholes, of course, but they generally get booted pretty quick.
@C_H_Antony
I love that!
@publickovacs lol, no no. Society for Creative Anachronism. Just asking if you were in it since belly dancing is a common thing around the fires and drum circles.
