Making dinner: the act of emptying most of what is in the fridge (gifted organic veggies), being unimpeded by recipes (this is Jalfrezi sauce), hearing your partner say 'let's dance' when a meaningful song is on the playlist (first song we danced to at wedding reception), having your dogs go apeshit about the dancing, and thinking 'this is the way'.
