In 2008 my soul dog was going blind so I adopted a dog to help him. Today is the anniversary of adopting the helper dog, Bailey. She was *perfect*. Sould dog died in 2016, Bailey in 2019. This is me with Bailey in 2016. I miss her every day, even though we have a lovely pack, two of whom had the honor of knowing Bailey. To not fall all the way into grief, I gave #Neville a beard trim
today. #DogsofCoSoo

So true!
ā„ļøšā„ļø They bring much needed light into our worlds and I like to believe they are always nearby, watching over us.

I think they partly come back through newer dogs, or at least do so part of the time to visit
Definitely agree! I had a female Tortoiseshell cat named Rainbow when I was in junior high. Sadly she was killed by something, we let our cats in & out where we lived. But then when I was in 11th grade, a female Tortie came for a visit out of the blue and I named her Hershey. She was almost the spitting image of Rainbow. ā„ļø

Makes perfect sense to me
@publickovacs There's nothing as tender as the paw prints they leave on our hearts ā¤ļø
