#Consumerism just bit me on the ass! Saw microwave egg cooker, ordered it, followed instructions to the T, opened microwave to this fucking mess.

Were the eggs in their shells? You can't do that. steam has no way to escape. Did the instructions talk about leaving the shell on the egg?

Yes, this is a contraption that is supposed to make hard boiled eggs. They have to stay in their shells as per the instructions - there is only a tray for them to sit on, so shells have to hold them

That's insane...
How could this work? Microwaves reaching the water to boil it would pass through the egg shell.
Maybe call them and ask how it's supposed to work?
the answer would be interesting, whatever it is...
