Didn't know this burial mound existed.
Malin Bay Cairn, c 3000BC. Under the mound is a chamber where they found 15 skeletons and a cremation.
Getting no work done. Time to give up, close the laptop and read a book for a bit before bed. Have a good one cosofolk
[delete/redraft. hit a filter by accident and the colours were way too weird. Now I'm going to bed!]
I just love Nendrum for firing the imagination. Little P is doing Vikings at school so a place raided by the heathens has to be a good spot.
Then dander round to the village, if you could call it that. I love walking with little P because it's when you get her talking. I found out Omnisexual was something and that for now she is a she. I'm learning π
The Island has a lovely walk with views across the lough and Peninsula. It's a really peaceful part of the world really.
Sketrick has what's left of a Castle and a pub. They do a good lunch.
Today being last day of the hols I took little P for a walk around a part of Stanford Lough. Sketrick Island, Whiterock village and onto Island Magee to Nendrum. Beautiful weather, not the sort that makes moody photos but I'll photobomb the feed anyway lol
The last walk of 22, hope everyone had a good end to the year and let's grab 23 by the balls and remember to walk on air against your better judgement.
