These people are the least able to perceive this quality in themselves. Even as they adjust their mental contents to conform to the party line of the day, they imagine themselves to be highly-informed, intelligent, independent thinkers.
I see it on a daily basis on FB..

me: here's proof you can see for yourself
them: I don't believe that either....
