This is the way:
The Battle of Cable Street took place on Sunday 4 October 1936.
It was a clash between the Metropolitan Police, sent to protect a march by members of the British Union of Fascists led by Oswald Mosley, and various anti-fascist demonstrators, including local trade unionists, communists, anarchists, British Jews, supported in particular by Irish workers and socialist groups.
@process every time the fascists have raised their ugly mugs, we've kicked their asses. Long may that tradition continue
@killingfloorman It's like playing whack-a-mole with them these days. @process
Socialism builds.
Then after we defeated fascism we built the best Health system in the world. Welfare for everyone who needed it. Social housing. Nationalised infrastructure.
How far we've fallen.
They were right - Socialism builds.
