Just looking through a window while it's raining. The winter wheat is starting to sprout ๐ŸŒฑ green.

A friend delivers packages and spotted this sign. Comforting.

Good morning CoSo! Hope you're all well. This is my Christmas cactus a couple years ago. I hope it blooms again this year.

@LiseL This has the marriage of George Parrot and Ann Catherine Laigle in 1816

@LiseL Somewhere in this is supposed to be my 3rd great grandfather George Parrot's birth 26 Sep 1793. Parents Jean Parrot and Judith Marguerite Bohin (Boin).

Late last night looking at family photos I ran across this. The signature of my second great grandfather (1818-1907) and second great grandmother's (1837-1890) mark. In those days the inequities in education were so obvious. I think this is from an 1863 document, if I remember right.

A red winged blackbird not looking very red. Don't get these in the yard that often.

Still need to do trim. If I get more warm weather I might get more done.

Started at about ten til noon (just before the start of this hour) and stopped about ten minutes ago for a break. Should knock this wall out today. If scraping and priming didn't take so long I wouldn't hate painting so much. Still need to prime the wall with the electric lines coming in. Ugh.

This is my paternal grandfather Floyd. He changed his name to John Quinn after a prison break with two other people where a guard was killed. One of the other men killed the guard. If this had happened today he'd be up for a murder rap. He married my grandmother although he was already married under his real name. My father was born a year later. He stayed 12 years with my grandma, longer than with anyone. But he disappeared ...

This is what was happening here 82 years ago today. The fire started in the summer kitchen which stood on the right. It leapt across the breezeway to the main house. The family was attending a funeral. Someone driving by happened to have a camera and later sent the photos.

Another view of the pied piper and his goats after they escaped to here.

My brother leading away the large number of goats that appeared by my garage. I ran out to keep them from wandering to the north neighbor's or to the road. Yet another time George was really eager to go outside.

Good morning everyone! I should save this for saying good night this evening, but I don't trust I'll remember. Dad had this little plaque. I try to remember this advice when stressed. I originally had this behind a content warning, but it hardly seems controversial or in your face. โœŒ๏ธ

Good morning CoSonauts!
A pavilion in St. Louis Forest Park at sunset. Took this 11 years ago.

New picture of large pecan tree.

33 year old picture of my mom. Note thin twig of a tree behind and to the right of her.

Same tree.
