The galaxy is a beautiful place, but there's a star destroying black hole at the center of it. Political metaphor. There is still joy to be found, just not at the event horizon.

@poemblaze You just reminded me how glad I am we don't live at the center of the universe. It's gotta be bright in there all the time!

I meant that there is no set point we can say is the center of the universe, at least not from here. At least as I understand, everything is flying away from everything else, except in odd instances where gravity(?) is drawing things together.

I'm very close to completely out of my depth here.

@poemblaze Yeah me too. I will go so far as to say I don't think we're all that sure about things like this. But if the exploding universe is correct, then some areas have to be near edges so, if you look one way, lots of galaxies and if you look another few to no stars. If we're all on the surface of a 4d(?) bubble/balloon universe, I suppose that's accurate but my head hurts when I try to move that image to an additional dimension.
