Now I know how my parents felt when Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, or Benny Goodman died. To the generation after, they always seems like ancient relics.

Well true. Celia Lovsky for example died the year my oldest was born.
It's bad enough that some of the cast we lost from While you were Sleeping (Jack Warden, Glynis Johns and Peter Boyle) were born in the 20's and 30's.

Must sure seem ancient for my kids at times. But then I may not even mention to them when a favorite actor or actress dies if they were born in the late 1800's.
