Evil is appetite and pride gone wild. The events these people perpetrate can be "interesting" and shocking. They move a plot. But when you get to know the person, it's a boring story of me, me, me, me.
@poemblaze fully agree with you.
her book of her experience is a very moving read.
@poemblaze Someone was telling me about her last night, it's the first I'd heard. Very interesting! Some people put everything on the line for strangers - incredible bravery.
@mach Interesting coincidence. But I don't believe there are "coincidences."
@poemblaze This is getting out of hand.
The point of her telling me about the story was because of a series of coincidences.
@mach I believe in God-incidence. π
@poemblaze I love those π
@mach BTW if you don't coagulate well with others you may need more platelets. I had low platelets as a kid and always bled a lot when cut.
@poemblaze Hahaha! I'm anemic af so that very well could be the problem. :p
@mach I should send you our well water. We could draw it with a magnet. Tons of iron in it.
@poemblaze If I wasn't terrified of my well I'd try that π
@mach Ha. This is just a pipe in the ground a couple hundred feet. No chance of falling in. π
@poemblaze No danger of falling in this one, either - it's the water quality that scares me. Irrigation only.
@mach Ahhhh
Corrie ten Boom https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corrie_ten_Boom is a far more interesting person to me than any of the Nazi muderers. She was the first female watchmaker in the Netherlands. She saved approximately 800 Jews from capture by the Nazis. Never tried to convert any of them. Was captured and held in Ravensbruck. After the war she housed jobless Dutch COLLABORATORS in her house. She forgave guards from Ravensbruck. Amazing person.
