Their history goes back hundreds and hundreds of yrs.
I'm not pro torture by any means.
I am a Slav, born in Poland 10 years after WWll. I understand these ppl, I know what Ukraine has gone through spanning more than 100 years because of russia.
If russia was daft enough to attack Ukraine and say that it doesn't deserve to excist, well they get back what they get back.🤷‍♀️
They want ALL of the countries, once behind the iron curtain, back.

@Krysdammit we understand. war makes haters of everyone. it ever ends on this planet. it just moves around like a virus, infecting everything. we have watched barbarity become worse over the last century while our species claims advancment.

I agree with you. The barbarity and cruelty that wars unleash is, I don't have words for it. Parents were children when WWll broke out. Both were fatherless, older brothers were either in army or with underground patrols/militias. My mom's eldest brother who was older and out of the army was sent out to "clean-up" after nazis or russians attacked villagers.
I know what ppl are capable of.
Some did very heroic things at their own risk. Others became monsters.

imo the whole population has been in post trauma from the inception of 'civilization'. Nature aint the only one red in tooth and claw.
