Interesting. The dressing/low allergenic tape is the approved dressing type to use with burns such as mine.
Removal involved dissolving the adhesive and gently peeling the tape off. The pink parts are new skin so now a padded waterproof dressing has been fitted. Doctor decided to bill that to the universal health scheme as it was technically a checkup. It’s a good, he said. See you in a week. No signs of infection.

@GlytchMeister It would appear you’ve not experienced bunions to the same extent as I, plus your ankles were normal at birth and didn’t require surgery & restraint bracing to realign them.
And that wasn’t fully successful: my left foot is splayed outward more than the right one.
